I was born into a family steeped in the aroma of tea. For forty-five years, my parents devoted themselves to the tea industry—from the high-mountain gardens to the tea table, from handcrafting leaves to sharing the art of tea tasting. Tea is not just a heritage; it flows in our blood.
As a child, every cup poured at home, every whisper of roasting in the air, formed my earliest memory of what “good tea” means. Yet my own journey took a different turn. I studied aerospace engineering in university and later entered the field of missile research. That period honed my scientific rigor and deep appreciation for precision, systematic thinking, and innovation.
Then came the day when my heritage called me back to the world of tea.
Returning with an engineer’s rationality and passion, I began to reexamine our family’s legacy. My childhood immersion in tea, combined with a scientific and systematic mindset, allowed me to understand it from a new perspective. The “precision” I pursued in the laboratory applies equally in the tea garden—every leaf, each stage of withering, every degree of heat represents a delicate balance between nature and craftsmanship.
What influenced me most, however, was my mother. Throughout her life, she cherished and studied the nature of tea, mastering the art of personalized “tea therapy”—using the inherent properties of different teas to soothe various emotional states. Her practice taught me that the value of tea extends far beyond flavor.
Today, I strive to carry this wisdom forward in a more modern and scientific way. Guided by the Daoist idea of “harmony between humanity and nature,” and through the lens of the Five Elements and Ba Zi, we aim to help modern people ease emotional distress and restore physical balance—curating the perfect tea for each individual. We insist on using only natural ingredients, respect the terroir of each origin, and uphold scientific standards with an artisanal spirit.
